Head of a southern ground-hornbill (Bucorvus leadbeateri). These birds are classified as cooperative breeders and the breeding pair are often assisted by other birds whilst nesting. These helpers will provide the female and chicks with nesting material and food. Photographed in the Kruger National Park, South Africa.
