Satellite image showing Lake Manchar, the largest freshwater lake in Pakistan, taken on the 25th of June 2022 by the Operational Land Imager (OLI) on the Landsat 9 satellite. Three months later in September 2022, Lake Manchar overflowed after the worst monsoon flooding in the country for a decade. The overflow from Lake Manchar flooded hundreds of villages and affected over 100, 000 people. The September 2022 floods covered nearly a third of Pakistan and killed over 1, 000 people.
