Acne keloidalis nuchae (AKN) on the scalp of a 25 year old African American male patient. AKN is a type of folliculitis, the inflammation of hair follicles, that affects the scalp and neck. The inflammation can result in pustules and lead to scaring and hairloss. The cause is not known. It is most common in men with curly hair. | |
