Axial computed tomography (CT) scans of the brain of a 51-year-old male patient admitted to hospital for suspected subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH). SAH is a rare, life-threatening type of stroke caused by bleeding into the space surrounding the brain (subarachnoid space). The scans also show the presence of an array of meningeal hemorrhages with spontaneous and diffuse hyperdensities occupying the cisterns of the bases and the bottom of the cortical sulci. | |
