Kidney blood vessels, light micrograph. The kidney is one of the most vascularized organs in the body, receiving 20 per cent of the cardiac systolic output. In experimental animals, renal vascular richness can be demonstrated by perfusing the kidney with a material visible under the light microscope. In this case, a colloidal carbon suspension has been used that marks the vessels in black, thus making it possible to demonstrate the great vascular richness of this organ. | |
