19th century illustration of Daniel Lambert (1770-1809), a gaol keeper, sports breeder and once the heaviest man in England. Lambert worked as a living exhibition in London from his flat, where visitors would come and see him. At the time of his death aged 40, he weighed 335 kilograms.
