Pterosaur flying reptiles, illustration. Pterosaurs were carnivorous predators, feeding on fish and other small animals. They flew with wings formed from a membranous structure stretched between the ankles and a lengthened finger. These are Dorygnathus and Campylognathoides pterosaurs. Both lived in what is now Europe during the Late Jurassic Period (163-145 million years ago). | |
