The Laughing Kookaburra, unlike the European kingfisher, is very bold in human society and can become a nuisance. The dacelo novaeguinea is found mainly in eastern Australia but has been introduced across the country. Despite its Latin name it is not native to New Guinea. Photographed at Lille zoo, France. The species has a conservation status of least concern. | |
