Wagendrift Dam, near Estcourt, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. The dam was constructed in 1963 on the Bushmans River to supply approximately 3000 hectares of irrigation between the dam and the Thukela River. It is named from a drift through the Bushmans River used by transport wagons on their way from Port Natal to the goldfields of the Witwatersrand. | |
