Antarctic heat wave. Composite image of temperature variations over Antarctica on the 9th February 2020. Dark blue represents air temperatures (at 2 metres) of less than 10 degrees Celsius. Dark red represents air temperatures (at 2 metres) greater than 10 degrees Celsius. The heat wave lasted from the 5th to the 13th February and included the hottest temperature ever record in Antarctica, 18.3 degrees Celsius, on the 6th February.
