While traditional medicine still holds sway in Sudan, a familiar part of the culture are \x91spiritual healers\x92 who were once known as \x91witch doctors\x92. Respected members of the community, they use among other things herbs, goats\x92 horns and trance inducing substances to treat many different illnesses from infertility, skin diseases, mental conditions, to intestinal problems and even broken limbs.
