Dry ice lifting a book, 3 of 3. A piece of dry ice (solid carbon dioxide, CO2) is placed into a ziplock bag. The bag is then sealed and a book is placed on top of it. As dry ice sublimes and turns into gas, its volume greatly increases. The pressure inside the bag builds up, inflating the bag and even lifting the heavy book. | |
