Transmission electron micrograph (TEM) of Hemophilus ducrayi bacteria, the cause of chancroid, or soft sore. This sexually transmitted disease is more common tropical climates and causes ulcers on the mucous membranes of the genitals and enlarges the lymph nodes in the groin.
