The Goldenscale Anole (Anolis chrysolepis) inhabits wet forests across the Amazon Basin. They live above the forest floor and eat small invertebrates. The species can be readily differentiated from other similar species by details from the males dewlap coloration and pattern. The specimen, a male, was photographed on the Rio Sucusari, Loreto, Peru, in 2018. | |
