Crustaceans are common in the surface waters of the ocean and can be found down to moderate and deep depths. This shrimp (Sergestes henseni) was collected from 250 meters depth, Gulf of Mexico, 2019. There is a parasitic nemertean worm attached to and feeding on this shrimp. Image courtesy of the Journey into Midnight project, NOAA/OER. | |
