Amazonite (or Amazonstone) is a tectosilicate mineral of lively green color, a variety of the feldspar mineral microcline. Chemical formula is (KAlSi3O8) and its crystal system is triclinic. Crystal habit is prismatic but amazonite normally occurs in an amorphous rocky form. It is usually associated with granitic rocks.
