Illustration of a Rhamphichnus pterosaur making tracks. Tracks made by Rhamphichnus were the first non-pterodactyloid pterosaur tracks to be found. The tracks showed that the legs and hands were placed directly below the body with the fingers pointing forwards. The tracks were found in south-western France and date to the lower Tithonian (152-145 million years ago). | |
