Male wattled starling (Creatophora cinerea) drinking in the Auob riverbed of the Kgalagadi transfrontier park in southern Africa. Wattles are frequently organs of sexual dimorphism and in this species only the male has wattles. Wattled starlings are summer visitors to the park which is a summer rainfall region of Southern Africa. | |
