Bismuthinite is an uncommon bismuth mineral a sulfide (Bi2S3) that occurs associated with bismuth deposits and is an ore of bismuth. Crystal are steel-grey to black with a metallic luster, but brown and lighter hues also occur. The crystal system is orthorhombic, their habitat prismatic to acicular. Provenance of this sample is Tywardreath in Cornwall, UK, sample width is 110 mm. | |
