Satellite image of Storm Ciara over the UK on the 9th February 2020. The storm brought heavy rainfall and high winds, with gusts of over 155 kilometres per hour, to much of the UK and Ireland. Some areas of England saw a month-and-a-half's worth of rainfall on the 9th, causing widespread flooding. This image was obtained by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) on the Suomi NPP satellite. | |
