An element of the pre-cooler or heat exchanger of the Synergistic Air Breathing Rocket Engine (SABRE), proposed by UK space company Reaction Engines for its Skylon Spaceplane, on display at the UK Space Conference in Liverpool. This is an engineering model of one of the concentrically-mounted elements of the pre-cooler which is constructed from multiple small-bore welded tubes that will contain liquid nitrogen to cool air entering the engine. | |
