Hermann Rorschach (1884-1922), Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. Rorschach studied at the University of Zurich, where he obtained his doctorate in 1912. He is most famous for his inkblot experiments, where he developed tests used to measure a subject's personality (the Rorschach test). His results were published in 'Psychodiagnostik' (1921). The portrait shown here is in the style of an inkblot. The art of making images from inkblots is known as klecksography. | |
