A view across the former Shuttle Landing Facility (SLF) runway at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. It is one of the longest runways in the world, at 4570m long and 91m wide. Space Florida has managed and operated the facility since 2015. The image shows one of the runway lights and the parallel groove structure of the surface, designed for drainage and to increase friction for landing. | |
