Anderson's rocket treatise, 17th century. This two-part treatise, titled 'The Making of Rockets', was published in 1696 by English mathematician Robert Anderson (active 1668-1696). He gave instructions on how to make rocket molds, prepare propellants, and perform the necessary calculations. Modern rocketry began in 1926 with the designs by Robert H. Goddard. | |
