Part of the Turtle Hospital's preparations for Hurricane Irma involved moving 42 turtles from these tanks to protected hurricane tanks for their safety during the storm in Marathon, Florida. The hospital also moved surgical equipment to the second floor of the facility, along with several weeks worth of food and water, and put generators in place to provide power in case of outages. | |
