Dark fungus (probably also containing Stachybotrys chartarum) developed under attic trusses on the ceiling of living rooms. Cold trusses in the winter led to the condensation of moist air in the living quarters and local development of fungus. Close-up photographs and SEM micrographs were obtained using several small pieces of the mould. Dried fungal hyphae and round spores are noticeable. Enhanced SEM: Image width: 256 micrometres. Magnification: 390x if the image is printed 10 cm wide. Bar: 50 micrometres. | |
