Superior frontal occipital fasciculus colour tractography. Axial (cross sectional) plane. Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) with generation of colour diffusion tractography can have significant impact on how a brain tumour is resected. The information diffusion tractography provides the neurosurgeon helps plan a safer resection or partial resection. Tractography can help us determine whether a certain tract is destroyed or infiltrated with tumour or merely displaced by a mass.
