Lead (II) carbonate precipitate. This series shows a progression as 0.5 M solution of sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) is added drop by drop to a test tube containing 0.2 M solution of lead (II) nitrate (Pb(NO3)2). Lead (II) carbonate precipitate (PbCO3) is formed as a result: Pb(NO3)2 + Na2CO3 -> PbCO3 + NaNO3. This is an example of a double displacement reaction. | |
