Lead chloride precipitate, 3 of 3. Lead (II) nitrate (Pb(NO3)2) is poured into a beaker containing potassium chloride (KCl). Both solutions are clear and have 0.2 M concentrations. White lead (II) chloride precipitate (PbCl2) is formed: KCl + Pb(NO3)2 -> PbCl2 + KNO3. This is an example of a double displacement reaction. | |
