Kori bustard (Ardeotis kori) walking in grassland. This huge bird can reach over a metre in length, but it has a slender body which allows it to take off easily and to fly gracefully. It is found in the steppes of southern and eastern Africa, where it roams around searching for grasses, grasshoppers and other food items. Photographed in the Kalahari regions of South Africa and Botswana. | |
