Rhesus monkey (Macaca mulatta) in a tree. This monkey is also called the rhesus macaque. It is found throughout Afghanistan, northern India and southern China. It is gregarious, occurring in large groups ranging from 20 to 180 individuals. It feeds on leaves, pine needles, roots and occasionally insects. Photographed in India. | |
