Male greater kudu (Tragelaphus strepsiceros). This large antelope lives in scrub and open forest in eastern and southern Africa, feeding on a wide variety of plants. The male possesses long, spiral horns popular with trophy-hunters, meaning that this antelope is now endangered over much of its range. Although it is a large animal, the kudu can easily jump heights of over 2.5 metres. Photographed in Etosha National Park, Namibia. | |
