Overlook crater on Kilauea. The level of lava in the lava lake in this summit crater on the volcano of Kilauea in Hawaii dropped significantly in May 2018, part of what is known as the 2018 lower Puna eruption. This view, on the evening of 6 May 2018, shows the level roughly 220 metres below the crater rim. This very wide angle camera view captures the entire north portion of the Overlook crater. | |
