Waves crashing onto the seafront during a severe winter storm at Sea Point, Cape Town, South Africa. The storm, which hit on the 7th June 2017, had wind speeds of up to 120 kilometres per hour. It caused waves of up to 12 meters and brought rain that flooded 800 homes. The storm, which caused 8 deaths and property damage, was the worst storm Cape Town had experienced for thirty years. | |
