Rufous-collared sparrow (Zonotrichia capensis). This American sparrow feeds on the ground on seeds, insects and spiders. It is found from Mexico to the southern tip of South America. American sparrow are more similar to buntings and finches than Old World sparrows. Photographed in September, in Patagonia, a region of southern South America. | |
