Medieval cannon of the 14th century. The carriage is provided with adjustable mounting facility allowing variations in the elevation of the cerbotane. The muzzle end pivots about the front fork support whilst the breech end rests on the iron crossbar located between two uprights. To change the elevation, the breech end is lifted using the extension allowing the crossbar to be moved to the appropriate pair of holes in the uprights to achieve the required angle. | |
