Nanoparticles and brain cancer research. This image shows direct observation of nanotube delivery, intended for use in cancer diagnostics and treatments. The blue branching structures are blood vessels infiltrating a brain cancer (purple) in a live mouse. The high resolution allows direct observation and quantification of nanoparticle delivery to cancer cells. This work was carried out by researchers at the the Stanford University Center for Cancer Nanotechnology Excellence and Translation (CCNE-T), USA. Image produced in 2013.
