European Homo heidelbergensis skull found at Arago cave,Tautavel,France. The skull is approximately 450,000 years old. This skull most likely belonged to a young male. The human fossils and artefacts found at the same locality suggest that these people had large brains and the ability to hunt large animals using tools.
