John Clarke Hawkshaw (1841-1921),British engineer. Hawkshaw was born in Manchester,son of the famous engineer Sir John Hawkshaw. He attended Westminster School and Trinity College Cambridge. His career was in civil engineering as partner in his father's firm. He worked on dock complexes in the UK and around the world and served as a technical advisor to the British Army.
