Indri (Indri indri) in a tree. Indris are the largest of the lemurs,their bodies can reach 90 centimetres in length. Indris live in the rainforests of north-eastern Madagascar in small groups of between 3 and 5 individuals,and feed on fruits,leaves and flowers. Their loud call,can be heard from over a kilometre away,is used to advertise the presence of the group to other lemurs. Photographed in Madagascar.
