Blue-footed booby (Sula nebouxii) feet on a rock. The blue feet of this seabird are used in courtship displays. The blue-footed booby is found on the Pacific coasts of Central America and northern South America, and on nearby islands. It eats fish, catching its prey by plunge-diving into shoals from above. It nests in small colonies on islands, laying its eggs directly on the ground. Photographed in the Galapagos Islands | |
