Moorish gecko (Tarentola mauritanica). The moorish gecko is found mainly in coastal regions of the Mediterranean. It has prominent tubercules on its flattish body which is brownish-grey in colour. Its tail,which is roughly the same length of its body,can be easily shed if the gecko is attacked by a predator. The tail will regrow but usually not to the full length of the original.
