Water-powered mill. Engraving of a water-powered mill during the 19th century. The mill had a propeller (not seen here) beneath with the platform seen here. This propeller had six blades and,with a diameter of 2.13 metres,could generate 3730 watts (5 horsepower) of power in a tidal flow of 8 kilometres per hour.
