Triangulum Galaxy (M33,NGC 598),combined optical and radio image. Also called the Pinwheel Galaxy,this type Sc spiral galaxy is about 2 million light years away in the constellation Triangulum. It is over 30,000 light years across. It is part of the Local Group of galaxies that includes our Milky Way Galaxy. Radio data shows cool hydrogen gas (blue).
