Photograph of the constellation of Pisces, with the constellation stars enhanced. Pisces, the Fishes,is the twelfth of the twelve constellat- ions or signs of the Zodiac. It is a large but inconspicuous constellation. The constellation appears as a fish or two fishes in several ancient cultures. In Greco-Roman mythology, the two fish represent Venus & her son Cupid; plunging into the Euphrates when the monster Typhon attacked them, they became the fishes whose images were raised into the sky. The Sun is in Pisces from 19 February to 20 March | |
