Icy river and waterfall. This is part of the Gulfoss waterfall. Gulfoss (meaning 'Golden Falls') is a waterfall on the Hvita river in south-western Iceland. This is the upper part of the waterfall (11 metres high). Further on,the water from the river falls into a crevice 32 metres deep,20 metres wide,and 2.5 kilometres in length (see image C026/2296).
