Low pressure over the UK. Satellite image of a large depression over the UK,on 12th February 2014. This depression brought strong winds and large amounts of rain to areas that were already flooded. This was one of a series of depressions that swept in from the Atlantic between December and February causing coastal damage and sustained flooding. The series of storms were driven by an unusually strong North Atlantic jet stream.
