Limpkin in a tree. The Limpkin (Aramus guarauna) is found in the wetlands of south-eastern USA and the West Indies,and also from southern Mexico to Argentina. It eats snails,frogs,insects,worms,and other small water animals,using its long beak to probe mud as it wades in shallow waters. It is usually about 70 centimetres tall.
