Keel-billed toucan (Ramphastos sulfuratus) perched on a branch in a tree. This toucan lives in the rainforests of northern South America. It eats a variety of foods, including berries, insects and even the eggs of other birds, which are stolen from their nests. The enormous colourful bill of this toucan can be used with great dexterity in picking and eating berries. It is also used for signalling in social situations, and for warding off predators.
