MSc research student Yue Wu works on a project looking at Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries as an energy storage device for photovoltaic systems. The research,at the University of Southampton,UK,indicates a higher energy efficiency than lead acid batteries,with a lower weight and longer life-span. Yue Wu is using equipment he has designed to monitor charge values in the battery array
